Intro to ActingFOCUS: ACTING
Learn some new techniques, including character development and movement. In ensemble groups, you will work on improvisation and monologue scene work. Student directors will choose a One Act to perform in front of an evening audience. Everyone is guaranteed a part! Open to all grades. Prerequisite: NONE! |
Performance and Communications (Advanced Acting)FOCUS: ACTING
Grow the skills and techniques, including character development and movement that you learned in Intro to Acting. In ensemble groups, you will work on improvisation and monologue scene work. As a class, with your teacher you will choose a One Act to perform in front of an evening audience. This show will be directed by the teacher of the class. Tech Theatre AFOCUS: DESIGN
This is an introduction into the many exciting facets of theatre. You will explore the world backstage, including stage design and stagecraft. And you will learn script analysis and theatre history. We will focus on learning the design aspect of technical theatre. Come join the fun! This is an excellent way to become involved in drama at FRHS. Open to all grades (Preferred) Prerequisite: Intro to Acting. |
Tech Theatre BFOCUS: TECH SKILLS & OPERATIONS
It's time to build! Learn your way around the scene shop, the lighting bridges, and the sound board! You will be able to practice implementing the designs you created in Tech A. You will get hands on experience creating the set, costumes, lights, and all the tech designs for the One Act class.

Requirements: Intro to Acting OR a choir class Class time: Fall Play classes will be held daily after school in the first quarter. FOCUS: ACTING AND TECH
Special education and general education students work in diverse peer groups on performance projects that include improvisation, pantomime, puppetry, musical performances, and composition of original pieces. Class activities will encourage peer collaboration, education about disabilities, student inclusion, and personal empowerment. 5 credits. Open to all grades. No Prerequisite |
